MigraineMap+ ("we," "our," or "us") operates a mobile health tracking application for individuals who experience migraines and headaches. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Health Data (Stored Locally Only)

• Headache Logs: Intensity, location, duration, timestamps, sleep hours, and notes you enter
• Apple HealthKit Data: Sleep duration, heart rate variability (HRV), step count, and menstrual cycle data — only if you grant permission
• Pattern Analysis: Trigger correlations computed locally on your device

Location Data

• Barometric Pressure: We use your approximate location to fetch local weather and barometric pressure data for migraine correlation
• Location data is used only for weather lookups and is not stored or transmitted to our servers

Purchase Information

• Subscription Status: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID — not your name or email
• Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store

Automatically Collected Information

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version (for compatibility)
• Crash Reports: Anonymous crash data to improve app stability

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide headache logging and pattern detection features
• Correlate your headaches with weather, sleep, and health data
• Generate PDF reports for sharing with your healthcare provider
• Manage your premium subscription status
• Improve app stability and fix crashes

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: All headache logs, health data, and settings are stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device
• No Cloud Sync: Your health data is never uploaded to external servers
• Apple HealthKit: Data read from HealthKit stays on your device and is governed by Apple's privacy protections
• Deletion: You can delete all your data at any time from the Settings screen

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We Do NOT Share

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• We do not have access to your health data — it never leaves your device
• We do not use your data for analytics or profiling

Third-Party Services

MigraineMap+ uses the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat: Subscription management (receives anonymous user ID only)
• Apple HealthKit: Health data integration (governed by Apple's privacy policy)
• Weather API: Barometric pressure data (receives approximate location, not tied to your identity)
• Apple Push Notification Service: Reminder notifications (iOS only)

These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your information.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to:

Your Rights and Choices

Data Control

• View Data: All your data is visible within the app (Calendar, Insights, Settings)
• Export Data: Generate PDF reports of your headache history
• Delete Data: Delete all data from Settings → Delete All Data
• HealthKit: Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health

Location Data

You can disable location services in your device settings. This will disable weather correlation features but all other features will continue to work.

Notifications

You can disable reminder notifications at any time in the app Settings or in iOS Settings.

Data Retention

• Local Data: Your data persists on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Subscription Data: RevenueCat retains anonymous purchase records per Apple's requirements
• No Server-Side Retention: We do not store your health data on any server

Children's Privacy

MigraineMap+ is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

Since your health data is stored locally on your device, no international data transfers occur for your health information. Subscription management through RevenueCat may involve data processing in the United States.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date on this page
• Posting a notice within the app for material changes
